The first MoneyGram was sent in 1940 in Minneapolis (USA). MoneyGram is the international payment system of the express money orders. Until 2004 Viad Corp. and Travelers Express Company Inc. were owners of this system. Nowadays MoneyGram is an independent American company, its shares are quoted at the New York Stock Exchange.
MoneyGram company brings into action money transactions in the whole world without opening an account and unites more than 138 000 local agents across 170 countries. This is a second payment system in the world which unites such a big number of countries and local agencies.
You can attach the free text message no more than 10 words for the recipient. For the recipient such message is also for free.

MoneyGram’s service for the money transfer is provided only to natural persons. Bank clients also as the person without bank account can use the MoneyGram system for the money transfer. There are some situations when MoneyGram’s services are necessary:

– When the person works abroad and regularly send money for his/her family.
– When it is necessary to pay for education and living if your children study abroad or spend their vacation.
– When it is necessary to send welfare to your family, friends, colleagues who are in the other country.
– For tourists in off-nominal situations.
– For businessmen when it is necessary to send money to the employees.

The amount of the transfer pays instantly in any convenient currency for the client – in US dollars, Euro or national currency. If money transfer was in one currency and the receiving was in the other the conversion takes place in spot exchange rates of the exchange office. You need to remember that if there are several banks at your place who works with MoneyGram and you will need to convert received currency then before receiving money check currency rate of several exchange offices because they can be different.
There are some limitations for money transfer:

– Up to 5 000 US dollars can be send per 24 hours from Russia to abroad (for residents of the Russian Federation in accordance with legislation)
For nonresidents MoneyGram company is set up the limitation for 9 099 US dollars per 24 hours.

Commissions and terms of transactions: For 1 – 200 US dollars commission is 5 US dollars
For 201 – 500 US dollars commission is 10 US dollars
For 501 – 1000 US dollars commission is 20 US dollars
For 1001 – 2000 US dollars commission is 40 US dollars
For 2001 – 3000 US dollars commission is 60 US dollars
For 3001 – 5000 US dollars commission is 100 US dollars
For 5001 – 9099 US dollars commission is 150 US dollars
